About Us
The Arizona Health Literacy Collaboration brings together a broad range of experience and expertise in both health literacy and in working with those most in need in Arizona. The members of this group include a number health care providers, educators, librarians, social service agencies and literacy coalitions that have joined together to improve health literacy with the end goal of providing tools for folks working in health care, literacy and education to address the issue. The end results of this project include the October 2010 webinars and this toolkit which are being made available to all residents of Arizona with a goal of improving health outcomes for the residents of this state.
This project has been funded in part with funding from the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract No. NO1-LM-6-3506 with the Regents of the University of California.
The project was conducted under the leadership of the El Rio Community Health Center, the Arizona Health Sciences Libraries, the Arizona Health Literacy Coalition, and the Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center.
